This policy applies to all information collected through our online recruiting platform, as well as information you provide during interviews and communications related to potential employment with VIS.

Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information of job applicants to VIS (“Applicants”).
This Privacy Policy is provided in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws, including the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, and other state and federal requirements governing the collection and use of applicant information.

When you apply for a position or join our talent network, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers, for example: real name, nickname, telephone number, postal address, e-mail address, and signature.
- Professional or Employment-Related Information, for example: educational institutions attended, degrees and certifications, licenses, work experience and previous employers, and professional memberships.
- Work eligibility and authorization status.
- Voluntary demographic information (e.g., race, gender, veteran status).
- References and background check results (if applicable).
- Communication records during the interview or hiring process.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.

VIS generally maintains information related to Applicants as confidential. However, from time to time, VIS may have a legitimate business need to disclose Applicants’ personal information for one of the purposes listed in Section 2 above, to one or more of the categories of recipients listed below. In that event, VIS discloses your personal information and/or sensitive personal information only to the minimum extent necessary to achieve the purpose of the disclosure and only if the disclosure is permitted by any applicable federal or state laws.
- Internal HR and hiring managers involved in the selection process.
- Applicant tracking tools and recruiting platform providers, to host and manage applicant data securely.
- Background check vendors or reference sources (only with your consent).
- Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law.
We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
VIS retains applicant data for a limited period to consider you for current and future opportunities, and to comply with legal and compliance obligations. If you are hired, your information becomes part of your employee record.
5. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. VIS and its HR platform providers adhere to industry standards for security and data privacy.
6. Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- Request access to your applicant data.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- Withdraw your application or request data deletion (unless restricted by law).
